Join us, Thursday 1 October, 11-1pm at the Centre for Design Innovation (note change of venue!)

Tips for freelancers, self employed and small business owners on managing their finances and demystifying the area of tax and accounting.

Presented by Open Coffee Sligo member, Anne Louise O’Donovan.

About Anne Louise: Since qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1999, Anne Louise has had a varied career.  She moved from working in KPMG, a large accounting firm in Dublin, to setting up her own business as a reflexology, aromatherapy and massage practitioner.  Having met a lot of like-minded people during this time who were running their own businesses, she then decided to return to work in a smaller accounting firm advising small business owner-managers, start ups and self employed individuals.  Her clients ranged from actors, comedians and musicians to builders, butchers and yoga teachers.  She moved to west to Sligo in 2007 and has recently completed her professional tax exams.  She now divides her time between Dublin and Sligo and is currently working on setting up her own business where she hopes to offer one-to-one mentoring sessions and group workshops for creatives, freelancers, small business owners and self employed individuals providing practical advice on managing their finances and demystifying the area of tax and accounting.

This is going to be a very practical hands-on presentation. We’ll do part of a normal meet & greet Open Coffee. Then Anne Louise will give a practical presentation.
